Babe’s Ice Cream Is Proud to Celebrate 5 Years of Successful Business in Bay View

 

LOCALLY OWNED, WISCONSIN MADE ICE CREAM SHOP THRIVES BY SELLING WISCONSIN-BASED ICE CREAM PRODUCTS AND SPECIALTY DESSERTS.

 

Babe’s Ice Cream, owned by Milwaukee residents Darwing and Christine Cruz, will be celebrating their Five year anniversary with the help of their surrounding neighborhood businesses in Bay View. Babe’s will be donating 15% of total sales of August 29th to the BayView Community Center Food Pantry.

 

On Sunday, August 29, 2010, from 12:00p.m. to 4:00p.m., on the patio at Stone Creek Coffee, another locally owned business, at 2266 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, Babe’s will host a free celebratory anniversary party. Babes IceCream has partnered with WMSE 91.7FM and they will DJ from 12:00-4:00pm.

 

The event will feature appearances by neighboring Bay View Businesses including a special appearance of the Milwaukee Fire Department, Rainbow Rhonda the Clown, Actaea Works, BYO Studios, Wild Flour Bakery, and Sparrow Collective, just to name a few. There will also be free popcorn, mini-ice cream tasters, cheese tasting, and Childrens jump house, Babes will also have a raffle featuring prizes from other local business partners.

Becoming a solid part of the Bay View Business Community, and the neighborhood overall, has made our Five years here invaluable, and we look forward to many more years of doing business here and providing our customers with high-quality service, and Wisconsin-based products,” said Christine Cruz, proprietor of Babe’s Ice Cream.

 

District 14 Alderman T. Anthony Zielinski cited Babe’s Five Year Anniversary as a landmark celebration not only for Babe’s,

but for the Bay View Community as a whole. “Babe success is reflective of the thriving business growth that is taking place along South Kinnickinnic Avenue.” Said, Alderman Tony Zielinski
