St Francis' Kayla Bieschke had the top throw in the discus and Bryana Banach led the shot-put competitors in the Woodland Conference Relays at Greenfield on May 5.
Bieschke had a discus throw of 91 feet, 6 inches, 10 feet better than the runner-up. Banach led the shot pout competition at 35-2½. Mel Franken placed second in the shot put (32-0) and third in the discus (81-2).
St. Francis placed 11th in the field of 12 with 19 9/10 points. Wauwatosa West won with 113½.
South Milwaukee
Taylor Buth led all discus throwers with a best of 98 feet, 4 inches to help South Milwaukee win the event in the Southeast Conference Relays at Burlington on May 5.
The other discus members were Kate Hytinen, who placed eighth (89-1) and Emily Wolf, 14th (77-6).
Corissa Myers had the best triple jump (35-0) and second-best long jump (15-3) to help the Rockets finish second in both of those events. Mallory Wesley and Hytinen joined Myers in the triple jump, and Elissa Sievila and Wesley in the long jump.
The sprint medley team of Samantha Czerwinski, Sommer Binash, Lauren Wagner and Robyn Kozlowski placed second (1 minute, 59.2 seconds).
South Milwaukee finished fourth with 69 points. Racine Case won with 78.49.
"We had a really good meet," South Milwaukee coach Stan Druckrey said. "The competition was really close."
Cudahy
Krystal Strickland finished second in the discus at 81 feet, 6 inches in the Woodland Conference Relays at Greenfield on May 5.
Alexandra Jackson finished in a five-way tie for second in the high jump (4-10) and placed third in the triple jump (31-4).
Cudahy placed ninth in the field of 12 with 25 9/10 points. Wauwatosa West won with 113½.
On May 8, Jackson placed second in the high jump (4-8) in the Steinke Laser Coed Invitational at Wales.
Cudahy finished eight in the field of 10 with 21 points. Kettle Moraine won with 183.
