ACORN vindicated
You'll never know it by watching the corporate news, but California's AG Jerry Brown recently examined the UNEDITED copy of the undercover videos of local ACORN offices. Remember this story? It was all over the news. It was a big scandal. ACORN's been in trouble before, and for good reasons. But it turns out this whole "prostitute" scandal was heavily, heavily edited and had serious consequences.
James O'Keefe III and Hannah Giles were lauded as the new "Investigative Journalists" for dressing as a pimp and prostitute, respectively, and supposedly videotaping ACORN staffers agreeing to help the pimp and prostitute break the law as well as help them smuggle teenage Mexican girls into the country.
"Things are not always as partisan zealots portray them," Attorney General Jerry Brown said in his statement.
That's not the half of it.

This has me fuming. Angry beyond belief. And you should be angry, too. These guys were hailed as the new wave of investigative journalism. They were held up as heroes, and for what? Selectively editing footage to create a scandal.
Even if you're a conservative, this should make you mad. Why? Because of ACORN staffer Juan Carlos, who was allegedly caught helping O'Keefe help smuggle underage girls into the country.
Why did Juan Carlos ask for phone numbers? Why did he ask for descriptions of people? Because he called the police after the interview. He filed a police report. He did EVERYTHING a good citizen is supposed to do: he got as much information as possible, and then he called the police.
And he was fired after this edited video was released. Fired. For being a model citizen.
Is this the future of journalism? How can we move forward as a society if our entire concept of "truth" is determined by people like O'Keefe who intentionally edit footage of their "expose" in order to mislead us?
A good man was fired for calling the police and reporting a crime.

You have got to be in total and absolute denial. The questions you raised about Juan Carlos were discussed when the tapes surfaced (on Fox News even...the shock!)

What about the rest of the ACORN staffers deliberately providing information to acquire loans and grants to open houses of prostitution filled with young girls. That is despicable.
You accuse people of having been blinded by the slant from the MSM news. Stop and take a look at what you're doing here. You are relying on the interpretation of the AG from California. CALIFORNIA. I need not explain the background of that godforsaken state.
ACORN is a perfect example of people gaming the government and you and people like you sit here and defend them. Spend your time on something worth defending, there is no case here. Juan Carlos was fired by ACORN, not me, not the government. Why? Because ACORN has no intention of doing the right thing, it just has to make sure it LOOKS like they are doing the right thing.
I guess that happens when you have no moral backbone or purpose. Good riddance.
